CNC Turning

For more than 20 years, Kintec Machining has been providing superior CNC turning services. We offer a range of precision machining capabilities with a variety of computerized CNC turning centers that can be programmed to meet your exact specifications, no matter how simple or intricate. Whether you require a trial run, product prototype or large-capacity CNC production turning, you’ll get a fast turnaround on a quality product at a competitive cost.

About the CNC Turning Process

Turning involves rotation of the workpiece while the cuttingtool moves in a linear motion. This results in a cylindrical shape. A lathe is the machine of choice for all turning operations. when it comes to complex CNC machining parts , it depends mixed CNC processing technology but not a single machining process .

For cylindrical parts such as pins, shafts, and spacers, or parts with general rotational symmetry, ‘turning’ them on a lathe is usually the simplest and most cost effective choice.

A CNC lathe equipped with live-tooling has all the capabilities of a standard lathe, but instead of relying solely on stationary tools, it can have rotating cutters such as drills or endmills, allowing for greater machining freedom and the introduction of asymm- etrical features into the part without additional fixturing setups. When the component requires both turning and milling features, the bar rotation can be stopped to allow for milling .This technique allows for a wide range of shapes, sizes, features and even material types.

Contrary to a mill, a lathe operates by fixturing cylindrical stock, called a rod, into a rotating chuck jaw on the machine. As this chuck rotates at a high RPM, so does the stock, and a fixed-orientation tool then translates along and across the stock to cut part features.

CNC Turning Capabilities

Kintec has more than 70 precision CNC equipment, which involves a great number of tool types, including three-axis, four-axis, and five-axis machining centers, drilling and tapping centers, CNC lathes, and more than 10 ordinary machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and grinders. The equipment has an annual processing capacity of up to one million pieces. Turning can perform many operations like turning, boring, threading, etc. Highly skilled machinists can create precision parts on all types of CNC lathes but contemporary machining centres help to assure a level of similarity close to being identical between the machined parts.

Machining Materials

Kintec is able to machine components in a wide range of materials. These include metals like carbon & stainless steel, aluminium, titanium and copper alloys as well as plastics like nylon, PE, POM, etc. It is suitable for both prototyping as well as large-batch manufacturing.

Advantages of CNC Turning

●Cylindrical Parts
CNC turning machines are the first choice for round or cylindrical parts. These parts can be machined quickly, accurately, and reliably with the CNC turning process.

Range of Processes
Other than generally used for round or cylindrical parts, CNC turning can also be used to carry out a variety of cuts, including drilling, boring, threading, knurling, etc.
