The client asked for steel but was not sure which grade to use. We suggested S45C carbon steel considering both cost and hardness.

Finishing:

The client worried about corrosion. For steel parts, we suggested electroplating (zinc-plating, nickel-plating), which was commonly applied for surface treatment to prevent parts from rusting. The client decided to go with nickel plating surface finishing.
